The content and form of experiences must help spark a more conscious conversation about end of life (death, dying, grief, loss, mortality, etc.) and align with Reimagine’s values of inclusivity, diversity, and accessibility. And as long as a live component is at the core of the event, virtual experiences of all kinds are welcome!
Live program format
If you wish to share websites, documents, and pre-recorded videos and podcasts, we encourage you to include those in Reimagine Community Resources. These resources on their own don’t constitute a live virtual experience.
We are happy to include programs with pre-recorded content but there should be an interactive component: an introduction, an opportunity for a conversation or a Q&A following a film screening or listening party, etc.
We encourage interactive, interdisciplinary experiences; however, the content, format, and technology platform you choose are up to you.
Types of events
Concerts, workshops, exhibition walk-throughs, intimate conversations, ceremonies or rituals, film screenings, and talk-backs, author readings, artist studio visits, book club discussions, art-making projects, games, comedy, dance/movement, meditation, dinner parties, theater, end-of-life planning, cooking demonstrations, storytelling, and more.
Themes
Your event should incorporate one or more of the following themes:
Wonder
Consider the big questions about life and death, illness and loss, love and connection, through spirituality, science, and the arts
Prepare
Plan for and manage serious illness, dying, and death, for ourselves and the people we care about.
Remember
Create space for all types of grief and honor those we love, through memories, words, and actions.
Live Fully
In the face of our impermanence, embrace life, our families, our communities, and our planet, through well-being, purpose, and positive impact.
